CARD 4 THE EMPEROR
Keywords: Karmic/Incentive & Security
Personal Strength: Leadership
Personal weakness: Tyranny

You’re going to be a little more self-assertive and direct.
Card 4 The Emperor, often appears at the beginning or end of a personally stressful or demanding episode when you are hoping to secure or rebuild matters, and need to exercise some additional self-control and common-sense. The manner in which you choose to complete matters and resolve your differences can exert a particularly karmic influence. The less willing you are to accept a matter you cannot change the greater the possibility of you becoming excessively petty, controlling or demanding. Whether from the Major or Minor Arcana all 4’s correspond to your incentive and security – they stimulate your sense of belonging. 4’s are all about your ability to devise and maintain a solid material and emotional foundation. As such, 4’s can also influence or suggest your incentive for beginning, completing or quitting matters.
FOR NEW STUDENTS: With Card 4 the keyword, “Karma” suggests that a personal strength; in this cases, your leadership or guidance is about to be tested, rewarded or called upon, while the “Incentive & Security” imply that whatever your situation, your sense of belonging or desire for security have (or will have) a stronger-than-usual bearing upon your incentive for beginning, completing or quitting matters. So think carefully, lest you say or do things now, that you later regret.

Note: Someway, somehow, during the final editing I failed to correct the fact that my Major Arcana keywords for Cards two through ten are not in step with the keywords for my Minor Arcana keywords for Cards two through ten. I apologize for this and have corrected my inexcusable oversight both here in the Major Arcana Section as well as throughout the Subject cards in depth. Should Tarot Dynamics be reprinted in the future it will be corrected in print!
